2nd Level - Application Engineer (all genders)

Your Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues remotely
* Provide active remote support in customer projects
* Perform configuration changes and software deployments
* Conduct service validation, testing, and follow-up on delivery incidents
* Proactively update documentation, process descriptions, and technical records
* Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
* Handle technical escalations and support P1 incident cases, including team representation when required

Your Profile:

* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telematics, or a related field
* Around 5 years of experience in IT solutions or a similar technical environment
* Strong knowledge of scripting, databases, and both Windows and Linux operating systems
* Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts
* Experience with ITSM/ALM tools (e.g., Cherwell, Jira, Confluence, Git, Azure)
* Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and communication skills
* Curious and eager to understand how complex systems fit together
* Enjoys documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills would be an advantage
* A strong team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude
* Willingness to occasionally travel and take on hands-on tasks
